Right! The answer is M. Everything else on this "short list" is poised to destroy your data, annoy all of your friends (and their friends) crash or slow down your operating system, insert obnoxious characters or processes in your Word documents, erase your work, erase your hard drive, leave you wide open as a re-mailer for pornographers and spammers, and make your business and personal computer life miserable, if not disastrous.

Without reliable, updated antivirus, and anti-malware software on your PC, laptop, mobile phone, PDA, or server, you are placing a virtual flashing fluorescent 18 foot high lime green, luminous sign in cyberspace that says: "Hack me! Hurt me! Abuse Me! Make Me Write Bad Checks or better yet use my credit card data for your entertainment! I am wide open!"

We've been "exterminating" worms, viruses, Trojans, and more for over 10 years now. Why waste time trying to figure it out or fix it, when OOTBS experts are available 24/7?

Part Two of the test. Pick the number one reason people get viruses on their computers:

  1. "I was going to get around to updating my expired software that came with a free trial, but I forgot."
  2. "What's this thing called a firewall? I just turned it off. It's annoying."
  3. "I know you're not supposed to open attachments from people you don't know but that little kitten was so darling..."
  4. "How come my antivirus software doesn't work any more?"
  5. "Are all those Microsoft updates really necessary?"
  6. "I download everything I can from the Internet. Nothing like free stuff, right?"
  7. "Can you really get sick from computer viruses?"
  8. A-F

The right answer? H, of course. If you said G to this question, and you are over the age of 8, you should not be using a computer.
